This blog is all about the rumored revaluation of the Iraqi dinar, or the rumored reinstatement of the Iraqi dinar. If you have interesting intel, rumors, or news that you want to share, please feel free. I welcome all views.
I get information from news sites, dinar chat sites, and directly from friends in Skype and Yahoo IMs. I intend to only post important things--not everything. I'll do my best to post unique tidbits you may not find in other sites. Enjoy and follow me!!!

This is one explanation:
ReplyDeleteDigital11 Post: Dinar Vets (Jordanian Islamic Bank converter debunked) January 11th, 2011 03:51 pm · Posted in CHATS / POSTS, MEMBER INFO The Jordanian Islamic Bank currency converter is using an unlicensed version of aquariussoft.com’s currency converter. If you go to http://aquariussoft.com/ ··· ault.asp you’ll see the real IQD rates. On JIB’s site, they are getting a ‘rate set’ in javascript that has a date of 2004 on it which you can see here: var rate = new Object();var lastdate=”UNREGISTERED. January 2 2004 05:06:37 GMT. UNREGISTERED”;rate['IQD']=0.309997; Please don’t believe any rumors about that site having an RV’d IQD rate. http://dinarvets.com/for ··· ry339904
There are some out there saying this site is a hoax. I've investigated. They are not a hoax. It's a legit site. The issue is that they are not paying to get current rates. See the posting on Dinarvets from someone below who believes the same.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you assume that a no-name currency converter site tool would have up to date info in 2004 on a currency that nobody is trading? 3.22 was the Saddam era rate, and its still possible to find outdated currency sites that still report that rate. Stop making everything a conspiracy. JIB doesn't have any control over this error other than to pay to register the tool and get correct rates, but they are obviously too cheap to do so. I'm not saying an RV isn't about to happen, but this mistaken rate on this site has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Nobody is 'messing' with this website, they're just using old data that happened to have a VERY old rate for the IQD at the time it was stored. There are plenty of sites out there that have the same problem, and get brought up every few months as proof the IQD has RV'd.
