BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: More than 45 companies are qualified for the third round of oil licenses, oil minister said on Wednesday.“The coming round will be bigger than the previous ones due to the improvement of the security and political situation in Iraq,’ Abdulkarim al-Luhaiebi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“There is a new project to improve the daily export level to more than 4.5 million barrels,” he added.
“The investment companies know that there are more than 25 million landmines in Iraq, most of them in the southern region,” he said, noting that Iraq started to remove these landmines through specialized companies to facilitate the companies’ work in these regions.
