Allawi is clearly not out of the picture. He may have bowed out of the presidency for the Council, but he's busy activating agreements with SIIC and Sadr in a likely attempt to gain control in Parliament. Recall that Parliament said just a few days back that they are the supreme authority. That means Maliki is not. If Allawi is successful in garnering support away from Maliki and gets majority backing in Parliament, he will be in control and Maliki will not. Game is not over I guess.
